White Lies are an alternative post-punk indie band based in London, England BUT on the 10th of March the will be playing a gig in Melkweg, Amsterdam, where luckily, I will be as well.
You can also take a look at the album cover (good design), which was designed by Big Active, a London based creative agency.
Those are small treats of quite a big collection of my type and logo findings from different places I have gone to. I will try to show some more in time. Hope you will enjoy!
We found it some time back in William grandma's collection of coins. 1962 - as you can see. I love the lettering. Why they don't use such cute types on coins any more?
In the new issue of 2+3D magazine| Polish Design Quarterly you can find the previously mentioned publication of The Children Hospital Wayfinding System, diploma project of mine.

Best Diploma Projects is a review of works of design graduates in Poland. It has been organized for the last six years by the 2+3D - Polish Design Quarterly. For the last four years it has it's continuation in the exhibition prepared together with the Silesian Castle of Art and Enterprise in Cieszyn. The review does not have the a character of a contest, the formula assumes that there is no winner. 10 best projects (according to the jury) is presented in quarterly 2+3D. There are always more works at the exhibition, so this year has been chosen 21 projects. The jury consists of representatives of the magazine editors, the Silesian Castle and designers of different specialization.
The opening of the exhibitionis on the 30th of January in The Silesian Castle of Art and Enterprise in Cieszyn, Poland. You can see there The Children Hospital Wayfinding System - my diploma project and a typography project of my very best school friend - Kamil Kurzajewski ------- Congrats!!!
There are very few people who can be easily classified as icons of Polish graphic design. There are few artists, who over the last half century have developed a visual identification systems, logos, posters, packaging and signs for such a large group of Institutions. There are very few such people as Karol Śliwka.
Karol Sliwka is one of the most celebrated graphic designers and logotypes author in Poland and Eastern Europe. He designed brandings for many Polish institutions. He still works using only pens and paper, and refuses to use computer programmes. Sliwka's graphics combine simplicity, functionality, readability, universal significance, great composition and thorough design. He also created many posters, packagings, covers and stamps. Although he's 76 years old now, he still keeps on working saying that design is his true love.

It is quite a serious matter here - just few days ago I turned 25 and guess what? Nothing has changed. Yet. Looking forward to my first wrinkles. Happy Birthday Kasia!
Lately I have submitted my logo designs to logopond.com. It is a great website where anyone can publish his designs and get a professional feedback. Welcome!
I was kindly invited by Sandu Cultural Mediaand Design 360 Magazine to feature my type designs in a new book 'Type Player' as well as in the magazine. More information will be added further.
Lucky me. My graduation project - Children Hospital Wayfinding System was honored by being chosen as one of the best graduation projects in Poland 2007/08. The work will be published in the upcoming January issue of 2+3D and presented on few exhibitions in Poland, beginning in Cieszyn (30.01 - 15.03), then Warsaw, Cracow and Poznan. I would like personally thank the 2+3D grafika plus produkt | Polish Design Quarterly for appreciating my work and Tomasz Budzyń for a great comment on the project.
“2009. OH YEAH!” was made from confetti [small bits of paper, usually colored, thrown or dropped from a height to enhance the gaiety of a festive event, as a parade, wedding, or New Year's Eve party]. The project was photographed in different stages of creation, composed into a simple gif animation and sent to my friends.
“Merry Christmas” was made from a cookie dough cut into small pieces, composed and cooked in the oven. The project thaught me patience but I enjoyed it loads. Merry Christmas and a piece of the cookie for everyone!
It's time to show something, isn't it? I've been working on the logo design for a Parisian design association called 'Bold' - three clever and young product designers. Their new website is launching soon as well. I will pass the link as soon as the site is published. Bold asked for a simple logotype and so those are the proposals i prepared! They haven't chosen yet though. We'll see how it goes... P.S. the typeface used in few of them is Spectra designed by a polish typographer, Kamil Kurzajewski. thank you :)
here it is! My diploma project [Children Hospital Wayfinding System] got it's "5-minutes-of-fame-spread" in the press.Visual Communication magazine (Poland).
